The QuickBooks Queen Brand
Jan 31, 2007

Today I spoke to my friend Johnnene Jones, who is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor . I told her I had come up with a nickname for her and it was going to be the “QuickBooks Queen.” Johnnene replied with the following:
Excuse me….that’s not a nickname, it’s a well earned title!
Anyone, who needs QuickBooks help should get ahold of the “QuickBooks Queen”. If you want her contact info just post a comment or send us an email and we will get it to you. She not only knows her stuff, but she is fun to be around! She is definitely creating the QuickBooks Queen Brand.

i’m dyin’ here. i run vpc on a mac g4 with 1 gig ram and a 400 mhz processor. i’ve allocated 512 to vpc. i had no trouble with quickbooks pro 2004, then was forced to upgrade to 2007 and it moves at a glacial rate. like almost not at all. any ideas?
don’t suggest quickbooks for mac. it’s ridiculous.
thanks!

I’ve ran into the same issue. When Intuit came out with QuickBooks 2006 it slowed down incredibly, 2007 is no different. Just out of curiosity, why did you upgrade to 2007?
Check out this article for tips on how to speed up programs running in VPC for Mac. I also read in some forum that a guy moved his company file to a USB hard drive and that helped improve his speed, but I have never tested this so I’m not sure if that would do anything at all.
Basically I think you are stuck with a slow product unless you can go back to a previous version of QB and restore older data that has not been upgraded. Good Luck with it.
