I’ve been playing with flash animations, as you can see in our logo above. You may wonder what started all of this. Well, the short story is, Bill loves the sound when the page loads. I could take it or leave it. I think it makes him feel like he is kicking ass if he hears that sound, but that is just me speculating. Since I’ve loaded Vista, I found that ActiveX screws up Windows Aero desktop. The old embedded sound we had ran off of ActiveX. My solution was to just remove the sound, but Bill said, “Misty, you’ve fucked up our design, not fixed the problem!” So, I didn’t want our website to mess up our visitors Windows scheme and I didn’t want Bill mad at me, so that led me to creating the flash file above. Now, it seems to work better in Firefox and I haven’t yet figured out why that is. The good news is flash does not interfere with Aero. I still need to make it clickable so it will go home when clicked, but I’ll save that for another day. Looks like Flash saved the day.
