I came across this article about N.Y. lawmaker, Carl Krueger, wanting to ban IPOD’s at crosswalks because some man walked in front of a bus. Now, if this were a kid or something then I could see it being a big deal, but since it was a grown man he should have had enough sense to look up. I say leave the IPOD’s alone, let the stupid people die.

Today I was setting up two DWL-7700AP’s and needed to call Dlink tech support. I flipped over my quick install guide and gave them a ring. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes and going through two live people I find out that I have not called the business class support. Dlink then requested I take down the correct support number. So, mildly frustrated, I asked the tech support guy to take down a note saying that the business class product, DWL-7700AP comes with the wrong support number listed on the back of it’s Quick Install Guide. So, we exchanged numbers.
What branding lesson have we learned here?
Make it easy for your customers to contact your support. By the time the customer is ready to call support they are already frustrated with your product, this is the time to show them how great you are by offering great support, not add to their frustration.
