Dishes and Tane

Misty caught me in the rear view mirror! I didn’t wash dishes in Memphis (although in another lifetime, I was once the Highest Paid Dishwasher In Santa Fe, but that’s another story) and I didn’t pump octane in New Orleans (but I did pump today). But enough of the past, bring on the Future!

Saturday Fat Tuesday

We got out today for the Mardi Gras Parade in Bull Shoals. In the clip you see a float playing some Zydeco Music. Mardi Gras, French for Fat Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday, and is the last day of Carnival, the two weeks before the traditional Christian fasting of Lent. Today wasn’t the Masquerade Balls of New Orleans, nor the Sambas of Rio de Janeiro, but it was a sunny day in the middle of a north central Arkansas Winter.
