Radical Transparency — Cancer, Divorce, Poverty
Jul 12, 2010
I don’t like to spread bad news or get sympathy from others, but I do need to talk about what’s on my mind. Nearly a year ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. For the last six months my wife and I have been talking about getting divorced and we have been separated for the last three months. I have been without a job for the last three months and I am now broke. This has all been a great opportunity for reflection and insight, and I do believe the insights are worth sharing, and so I will in the coming days.

While the story is sad I think it is great that you can share your story with others who might find it beneficial.

Oh, Bill, I am so sorry to hear this. I know how thrilled you were to be together with Misty and am sorry things have not turned out well for your romantic soul.
Are you receiving treatments for the prostate? Everyone I know has recovered fully, but has gone through life changing experiences in the meanwhile.
Visit us anytime, we’d love that.

Dear Marya, I appreciate your concern. Yes, romance is a great adventure, and the journey is not always easy! I am addressing the cancer with nutrition, exercise, and contemplation, will have a video out on this in a few days. Yes, I am going through life changing experiences. Be careful what you wish for, I might visit you! Love, Bill.
