So, you’ve probably figured out I’m the type of girl who likes to take stuff apart to see how it works. In this video I took apart my USB Hard Drive, the ArcDisk 2.0 20 GB hard drive. It wasn’t all I imagined it would be on the inside, but it was still pretty cool.
We use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 for editing and today I was playing with the visual effect of having four videos playing simultaneously. Of course we love our iPhones so it seemed appropriate to use iPhone footage for learning this effect.
A couple weeks ago, we shot and edited a video for TurnHere, a company that provides video services for companies such as YellowPages.com. You can view the video HERE.
Today we tested out a few mics on the Canon GL2 Camera.
1. The Canon GL2 Built-in microphone
2. The Azden SGM Shotgun microphone
3. The Sony UWP-C1 Lavalier UHF wireless microphone
The last two microphones are connected through the Beachtek DXA-4P adapter. The Sony seems to have the best audio quality out of the three mics, but I need to do further testing with the Azden to be sure.
We bought a new wireless microphone system and were testing it out. Bill asked me to edit a video out of the material we recorded and this is what I came up with. I don’t think it was quite what he had in mind, but I had fun with it.
Bill and I like to get out and visit Bud Guess as often as we can.
It all started long ago……Once upon a time Bill lived in the apartment complex that Bud managed. One day Bud offered to cook dinner and Bill being a guy who never turns down free food took him up on that offer. Well, as time went on, the free dinners kept rolling in, so naturally Bill and Bud got to know one another and became great friends. Then, in comes Misty, at the time from Arkansas. Misty was dating Bill, and on the first visit met Bud and thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy. Bill and Misty marry and she convinces Bill to move to Arkansas. Bud and Bill remain friends that talk on the phone and communicate by email, but it’s just not the same. Finally, Bill and Misty move back out to California, and once again Bill and Bud join forces to fly with the Eagles.
In October of 2007 I created a video about a Logo Design Process Bill and I went through for Auburn Computer Magic. Auburn Computer Magic is owned by Bill and myself. We got a lot of responses on the first video and most of the responses were negative. I think I did a good job at offending a lot of graphic design professionals. The cool thing that came out of this video was that a guy named Daniel Sharp got in touch with us and designed his own version of the Auburn Computer Magic logo and told us we could use it if we wanted to. Obviously he wasn’t crazy about our logo, but instead of adding one more negative comment he made a positive contribution, and we thought this was great.
