I Can’t Go For That
Boing Boing ran this video last Thursday. It is a perfect example of Fred Wilson‘s notion of The Future of Media:
1. Microchunk it.
2. Free it.
3. Syndicate it.
4. Monetize it.
I can go for that, oh oh…oh can do!

Last night I came across this old movie that I hadn’t heard of before with Ellen Burstyn. Wonderful story, direction, and acting. Reminded me that we are all worthy of love.
I can’t always tell if a client is going to not show up for an appointment. But if it’s a no show and no call, that tells me all I need to know.
But what if they call back to reschedule? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
I think a mail in cash rescheduling fee is the answer!

Howard Lindzon got me thinking the other day when he posted
“I finally got a sales call from LinkedIn $LNKD. It only took 9 years. I guess the ‘funnel’ of web optimization and no human interaction is coming to an end for the big guys….The year 2012 will be about extending the web funnel through hard core human interaction – not just optimizing your website. That will involve persistence, even chasing.”
I imagine this applies not only to business, but also to my social and personal life as well. What do you think?
I got an email from Google today:

And it only took two years to reach the payment threshold!
A few days ago, I watched Holiday Inn again for about the twentieth time and noticed something new: the two female lead characters were Linda Mason and Lila Dixon, the Mason–Dixon Line!
I wondered what else I had missed and found at IMDb –
Blonde Marjorie Reynolds who plays Linda Mason is the brunette who later plays Peg Riley on TV in “The Life of Riley” opposite William Bendix.
For the “drunk” dance, Fred Astaire had two drinks of bourbon before the first take and one before each succeeding take. The seventh (last) take was used in the film.
Live and learn!
