I Can’t Go For That
Boing Boing ran this video last Thursday. It is a perfect example of Fred Wilson‘s notion of The Future of Media:
1. Microchunk it.
2. Free it.
3. Syndicate it.
4. Monetize it.
I can go for that, oh oh…oh can do!

Howard Lindzon got me thinking the other day when he posted
“I finally got a sales call from LinkedIn $LNKD. It only took 9 years. I guess the ‘funnel’ of web optimization and no human interaction is coming to an end for the big guys….The year 2012 will be about extending the web funnel through hard core human interaction – not just optimizing your website. That will involve persistence, even chasing.”
I imagine this applies not only to business, but also to my social and personal life as well. What do you think?
Caterina: Soon everybody will know everybody and social networks will be obsolete.

For me, marketing is obsolete!
What sets you apart if it isn’t your mobile phone, social network, or search engine?
This is my Kudzu Strategy for Mobile Social Networking –
1. Follow the Sunshine — Go where people are — Mobile, Social, Local, Videos, Photos
2. Create Vignettes — Make tasty snacks, appealing appetizers — Short form, video stories
3. Share the Bounty — Allow cuttings — Put vignettes where people can Like, Comment, Share.
This is the third part of The Kudzu Strategy — Starfish — Vignettes — Flow.
The Mobile Social Networking Starfish is all about being Findable.
Vignettes is all about being Consumable.
Flow — sustainable quantity, improving quality, and engaging rhythm — is all about being Shareable.
Here’s another treasure from Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell!
For the past few days I’ve been thinking about Rhythm and Flow, and I found this great example!
My message is not that it is EASY, but that it is POSSIBLE to be found online, and THAT is where the fun starts.
I had not thought about this song in a decade, but then I started thinking about Livin’ La Vida Local, as in Mobile Social Networking. You know, Location, Venue, and Neighborhood. After all, we need to have our own Place Page!
