We bought a new wireless microphone system and were testing it out. Bill asked me to edit a video out of the material we recorded and this is what I came up with. I don’t think it was quite what he had in mind, but I had fun with it.

Bill and I like to get out and visit Bud Guess as often as we can.
It all started long ago……Once upon a time Bill lived in the apartment complex that Bud managed. One day Bud offered to cook dinner and Bill being a guy who never turns down free food took him up on that offer. Well, as time went on, the free dinners kept rolling in, so naturally Bill and Bud got to know one another and became great friends. Then, in comes Misty, at the time from Arkansas. Misty was dating Bill, and on the first visit met Bud and thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy. Bill and Misty marry and she convinces Bill to move to Arkansas. Bud and Bill remain friends that talk on the phone and communicate by email, but it’s just not the same. Finally, Bill and Misty move back out to California, and once again Bill and Bud join forces to fly with the Eagles.

A few days ago we went into Old Sacramento and walked around. We enjoy the historic districts in the area and had fun shooting this video.
Bill and I have been watching these strange birds at the Lake of the Pines Lake in Auburn, CA. They sit on a perch and hold their wings out for a long time, then they dive under water and swim amazing distances. For awhile we didn’t know what they were, and then we found them on Wikipedia. They are called Cormorants and they’re pretty cool.

A few days ago we upgraded cameras to a Canon GL2. It shoots amazing quality and we are really enjoying. This is just some test footage we did to see how well the quality comes across online.
Our turtle is lonely these days, so lonely she’s making moves on the rock in her tank. Time for the “Birds and the Bees” talk with her, or I guess it would be the “Turtle and the Rock” talk.
Today I worked on a video tutorial on Video Copilot. It was a lot of fun…..let me know what you think.
Today it snowed in Auburn, CA. It didn’t stick and wasn’t very much, but it was snow.
