In October of 2007 I created a video about a Logo Design Process Bill and I went through for Auburn Computer Magic. Auburn Computer Magic is owned by Bill and myself. We got a lot of responses on the first video and most of the responses were negative. I think I did a good job at offending a lot of graphic design professionals. The cool thing that came out of this video was that a guy named Daniel Sharp got in touch with us and designed his own version of the Auburn Computer Magic logo and told us we could use it if we wanted to. Obviously he wasn’t crazy about our logo, but instead of adding one more negative comment he made a positive contribution, and we thought this was great. On April 12th, 2007 we Predicted that, “Google will extend video embeds to Local Business Center as in My Maps, and will continue to make deals with phone makers and carriers to include Google Maps and YouTube videos, as they have with Apple.” Today we noticed in one of our Google local listings a Tab For Photos And Videos. We couldn’t find a way to upload videos, but it looks like it’s coming soon.
UPDATE: Yesterday we uploaded videos to our Google Local Business Listing and today they’re live –
We were pleased today to find that Buffalo Coffee of Mountain Home, Arkansas has setup a MySpace profile and used a video on it that we did nine months ago. Part of the microCHUNK.TV thinking is free the videos. When you offer the embed for others to use that frees the video. The great part about this is other people can spread the message for you. So, check out Buffalo Coffee’s myspace page and add them as a friend. If you are in the Mountain Home area and have not tried their coffee, you should. I’ve never ordered off of the menu. My order goes like this, “Something with a lot of caffeine, a lot of chocolate, and I want it to be sweet!” They served it up great every time I ordered it that way.
I started out playing Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 a million years ago. Then I picked up Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and it looked just about the same. Well, now that Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 is here it is totally different than the original. I’m still not sure which one I like more.
